Another Unity viewer for Gaussian Splatting has been released. Keijiro made a Unity importer for Triangle Splatting. Additionally, another Triangle Splatting viewer popped up here.
ANNX Studio is giving free Pro through August, when you sign up to train Gaussian Splatting on Mac. I have a tutorial on how to install it easily! World Labs renamed Forge to Spark and then released an update with a bunch of great new features.
Varjo’s Teleport had a couple releases. One for level of detail support and the other allowed for custom video rendering. Scaniverse release 5.1, allowing for users to turn off LiDAR while capturing and introduced the beta of their explorable map.
Arrival Space launched their newest version, bringing a Discover section and enhanced annotations. Host your 3DGS captures and create annotations on Blurry!
AEC/GIS:
Gauzilla Pro made it much easier to create time lapses with plys. Bentley Systems added experimental Tiles and .spz support to their gaussian splatting implementation in iTwin Modeler.
NVIDIA released a beta for gaussian splatting in Omniverse 107.3 and in Isaac Sim 5.0.
The Cesium Developer Conference happened in Philadelphia, with several gaussian splatting talks, in addition to one about fVDB. I spoke to startup, Schemata, who is using radiance fields for federal applications.
Videos and Content:
Jonathan Stephens made a video about Triangle Splatting that’s garnering a bunch of attention. XGRIDS did a webinar on Real Estate capture.
I spoke to the PlayCanvas team about their ecosystem and SuperSplat. 4DV.ai was all over the internet this month, with their dynamic gaussian splatting demos.
